To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! **Job Responsibilities:** + Plans and coordinates material management. + Ships, receives, inspects, stores, issues, and delivers a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies. + Oversees tracking of materials necessary to maintain inventory targets. + Prepares lists and purchase orders to obtain required materials, tools, and equipment. Establishes appropriate material inventory levels and determines reorder points. + Determines method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. + Performs work under direct supervision. + Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. + Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. + Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in tool rooms, warehouses, or storage yards. + Dispose of damaged or defective items or return them to vendors for repair. + Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. + Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer. + Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors. + Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. + Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. + Provide assistance or direction to other employees on the procedures. + Keep records on the use or damage of stock and calibration of all equipment. + Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. + Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock. + Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions. + Recommend for purchase new or additional stock or prepare documents that provide for such purchases. + Advise customers or internal users on the appropriateness of parts, supplies, or materials requested. + Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued. + Prepare products, supplies, equipment, or other items for use by adjusting, repairing or assembling them as necessary. + Compile, review, and maintain data from documents to assess needs. + Will ship and receive parts and equipment, prepare for shipment, and properly mark all items to include HAZMAT. In support of typical aviation parts and maintenance requirements. + Will support receiving and shipping documentation and quality receiving inspections to include the forwarding of documents to the customer's point of contact. + Will ensure all tools are available for maintenance. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Completion of high school or equivalent. + Two (2) or more years of aviation warehouse/tool room support or like experience. + Must be able to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance. + Basic knowledge of unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers etc. + Working knowledge inventory and property management systems. + Able to prioritize workloads to maintain schedules on assigned projects. + Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day. + Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands. + Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders. + Must be able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 lbs. **Desired Qualifications:** + 4 years' experience in aviation tool room/warehouse supply.
